Three Universes

One galaxy, three ways to play.

MMO — The Free, Persistent Galaxy

The MMO is E-xode: ROM's persistent home galaxy: 9 regions, 81 systems, 729 sectors, ticking forward whether you are online or not. Thousands of commanders share this one live galaxy in real time, and every fleet that fights here reshapes the map.

MMO is the shared baseline every commander keeps, Free or Premium: the same galaxy, the same population, advancing tick by tick without ever resetting. No clearance is required to command a fleet here.

The MMO universe is Free forever: no Premium clearance, no time limit, no paywall. Upgrading to Premium adds PvP and Tournament access — it never takes the MMO away.

PvP — Fleet Combat

PvP runs the same 9-region, 81-system, 729-sector galaxy as the MMO engine, but as its own independent instance built for direct confrontation. Commanders here chose contest over caution: beyond the home region, law stops answering distress calls, and only the sharpest fleet walks away.

PvP is a separate Premium instance of the same galaxy: always running, just like the MMO. Its population signed up for open conflict, not a shared truce — law only reaches the home region, and beyond it, aggression turns a commander into a pirate worth hunting.

PvP is part of Premium clearance, unlocked with a time card, alongside the Tournament universe, up to three characters per game, and your full captain's log. Access only, never a power advantage.

Tournament — Ranked Seasons

Tournament runs the same 9-region, 81-system, 729-sector galaxy as the MMO engine, but as its own independent instance shaped into a timed competitive season. Every season has a defined start and end state; ranked standings and a clear victory condition decide who finishes on top.

Tournament is a separate Premium instance built around season structure rather than an open-ended galaxy: fixed rules, a start, an end, and a ranking that only exists for the length of that season.

Tournament is part of Premium clearance, unlocked with a time card, alongside the PvP universe, up to three characters per game, and your full captain's log. Access only, never a power advantage.

Free vs Premium

The engine doesn't change — your clearance decides how much of it you can reach.
